Material
Only by choosing the very best materials is VOLA able to produce items of such high quality. Mixers, taps and accessories are made from solid brass and gun metal with a few components in stainless steel. All valve housings are made using dezincification resistant brass.
Valve units
Conscious water consumption is an absolute necessity in our modern world, but comfort and usability in the kitchen or bath room is just as important. With VOLA you can have both. The many different valve options offered by VOLA enables the specifier to select the unit most suitable for the purpose. The ideal flow required for shower and sink is 10 litres per minute. The ideal flow for a basin is 5-6 litres per minute. All basin taps and mixers have a flow regulator securing a flow of 5-6 litres per minute irrespective of pressure. A minimum of 20 litres per minute is needed for bath filling. For whirlpools or multi head showers high flow valves should be used. One-handle mixers for wash basin, bidet, shower and kitchen sink all use a 28 mm ceramic cartridge capable of producing a maximum flow of 12 litres per minute at a pressure of 300 kPa. A 35 mm cartridge is also available for bath filling supplying a maximum flow of 24 litres per minute at a pressure of 300 kPa. Two-handle mixers can be used for both basin and bath filling. Also incorporating ceramic discs, the flow rates of these units range from 6 to 50 litres per minute depending on the type of outlet used. 3/4" mixers allow very high water flow rates. They can produce up to 140 litres per minute. The construction of all Vola mixer castings ensures noiseless performance. Noise level is class 1 in respect of the new Euronorm.
Finish
The full VOLA range is available in polished or brushed chrome, natural brass, or a choice of 15 colours. A selection of the Vola range is now also available in solid stainless steel. The colour surface is an epoxy-polyester mixture which is oven-fired at very high temperatures ensuring a knock proof and acid resistant finish. Polished chrome finish is achieved by buffing the natural brass to a very high sheen, then plating with high quality chrome.
Quality control
Each stage of the production process from inspection of the raw brass, through to the finished tap, is subject to VOLA A/S intense quality control system based on ISO 9001:2000 |
